Global Survey of News Literacy Students

In January 2016 the Stony Brook Center for News Literacy and several of its partners distributed a Global Survey to their students. More than 300 students responded, providing insight into their news-consumption habits, attitudes toward the news media, and confidence in their ability to find accurate information.

Louisiana State University, Hong Kong University, Higher School of Economics in Moscow, and University of Bolton/Beijing Foreign Studies University all participated in the first round of the survey. Additional partners have joined us for the Fall 2016 survey, and we plan to expand its reach in the years ahead.
